Hi.

My name is Mario Bollini.

I am the Chief Technology Officer and cofounder of GRIT, a social enterprise commercializing a mountain-bike wheelchair. We get people with disabilities off-road and on with their lives.

I am the founder of democratech, a design collaborative that developed and crowdfunded Sprout, a pencil with a seed inside. We democratize product development.

I am interested in robotics, mechatronics, international development, product design, mechanical and software engineering, crowdfunding, and entrepreneurship.

I graduated from MIT in 2009 with a SB in Mechanical Engineering. In 2010 I was awarded a NDSEG Graduate Fellowship and joined the Distributed Robotics Lab at MIT CSAIL. I received a MS in Mechanical Engineering in 2012, having programmed a robot to bake cookies autonomously.
